Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of keeping a state of a second power transmission system in a wider engine rotating region, and further improving fuel consumption.SOLUTION: The power transmission device includes: spring characteristic switching means for optionally switching a spring characteristic of a damper mechanism; detection means for detecting a running state of a vehicle; spring characteristic control means for activating the spring characteristic switching means in accordance with a running state of the vehicle so as to be able to switch to a spring characteristic corresponding to the running state; a torque converter; and clutch means for switching a first power transmission system for transmitting the driving force of an engine to wheels through the torque converter and a second power transmission system for transmitting the driving force of the engine to the wheels without the intervention of the torque converter. The spring characteristic switching means is composed of a damper clutch 10 for disconnecting or connecting a prescribed part in the second power transmission system by a signal from the spring characteristic control means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
