Abstract:
Provided is a power transmission device that can transmit rotational force of a vehicle wheel to an engine to achieve engine braking, and can enable the engine to be started up by kick starting, when a weight member is in an inside-diameter position. The power transmission device has a clutch housing (2), a drive-side clutch plate (6) and driven-side clutch plate (7), a clutch member (4), a pressure member (5), a weight member (8), and a coupling member (9) that can move the pressure member (5) from a non-operating position to an operating position as the weight member (8) moves from an inside-diameter position to an outside-diameter position; wherein the power transmission device is provided with a one-way clutch (11) that is attached to the coupling member (9), and that blocks power transmission from an input gear (1) to an output shaft (3) and allows power transmission from the output shaft (3) to the input gear (1) via the coupling member (9), when the weight member (8) is in the inside-diameter position.
