Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress gear noise by reducing friction loss.
SOLUTION: While an intermediate shaft 5 is fixed in a casing, third and fourth skew bevel gears 6 and 7 are mutually connected and supported with a radial bearing mounted between the intermediate shaft 5 and the third or fourth skew bevel gear 6 or 7. A thrust bearing 10 is respectively interposed between the casing and the third or fourth helical gear 6 or 7. A average radius R of the thrust bearing 10 sets the outside diameter according to a relative angle θ2 of an engagement point between the third and fourth skew bevel gears 6 and 7, and to a thrust force generated by the skew bevel gears 6 and 7.
