Title:
POWER TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001173754
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a power transmission capable of preventing generation of the damage of a material caused by oil film breakage even in a harsh condition by executing measures for holding the oil film on a surface of a roller interposed in a roller rolling surface of an inner ring outer periphery and an outer ring inner circumference in a rolling bearing clutch.

A fluid is formed as a medium for transmitting power, and a rolling bearing clutch CL is disposed between the driving side and the driven side of the power transmitter for taking out kinetic energy applied on the fluid by a prime mover as rotating power. The rolling bearing clutch CL is provided with many rollers 9 interposed between rolling surfaces 6a, 10a of the inner ring 6 and the outer ring 10, and the inner ring outer periphery and the outer ring inner circumference, and which is disposed for transmitting and shutting out power by approaching or separating the rolling surfaces 6a, 10a of the inner ring 6 and the outer ring 10. The power is transmitted by the rolling bearing clutch CL, and thereby, the driving side and the driven side are mechanically connected to each other without through the fluid. In such constituted power transmission, an oil film holding part for holding the oil film is formed on a surface of the roller 9 interposed between the rolling surfaces 6a and 10a of the inner ring outer periphery and the outer wheel inner circumference.
