Title:
POWER TRANSMITTING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3939393
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmitting mechanism capable of interrupting power transmission in the case of turning force exceeding a preset value, simple in structure, reduced in cost, and capable of performing rotation in both directions.
SOLUTION: When turning force of preset value or less is transmitted from a pulley 1 to a shaft 4, three elastic members 2 are received astride between a holding part 3 of the pulley 1 and a holding part 6 of a hub 5. When excessive turning force exceeding the preset value acts in the pulley 1, each elastic member 2, gradually increasing elastic deformation by compressing force applied in a radial direction from the pulley 1, is moved in a radial direction. Each elastic member 2, further advanced, is detached from the holding part 3 of the pulley 1, to pass through a constriction part 8 provided in the holding part 6 of the hub 5, in the end to be received in a depth part 9 of the holding part 6. Accordingly, transmission of turning force from the pulley 1 to the hub 5 is completely interrupted.
