Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a mechanism, which can freely control the power transmission and can effect the control to a desired r.p.m. even for high variations in the load upon an output side, by controlling the quantity of oil in a gear pump. CONSTITUTION:A main gear 1 and follower gears 3 and 3a are turned relative to a casing 2 by the rotations of a crankshaft 16. As a result, the oil pressure in compression chambers 21 and 21a is raised so that the resultant reaction turns the casing 2 in the same direction as that of the main gear 1 and accordingly a pulley 41 through a side cover 20. In case the r.p.m. is lower than a preset value, a plunger 28 is left stationary, and the hole of a volve sheet 31 is opened to fill suction chambers 22 and 22a with oil so that the casing 2 takes the r.p.m of N-1 with respect to the r.p.m. of N of the main gear 1. In case the r.p.m. is higher than the preset value, the plunger 28 is seated upon a seat 31 by the action of a governor 32 to control the flow rate into a suction passage 43 so that the r.p.m. at the follower side can be maintained at a constant level.
