PURPOSE: To make an automatic power-off function inactivated or activated depending whether its power supply is an AC adaptor power supply or a battery power supply.

CONSTITUTION: When an AC adaptor power supply is connected to a power line for an entire camera recorder by throwing a power supply changeover switch 3 to the position of AC in a power supply circuit 1 of the camera recorder, the automatic power-off function is inactivated. When a main battery 101 is in use, the power supply changeover switch 3 is thrown to the position of the battery to activate the automatic power-off function of a system control section 103, and then the main battery 101 is turned on/off through ON/OFF of the main power supply switch 104.
