Abstract:
To provide a power unit for a radio buoy in which an inexpensive battery of small current capacitance which can be easily acquired at all times is available for power during a transmission period in which a large current is intermittently required.
A battery charger of a long time constant and large electrostatic capacitance is charged with the battery of small current capacitance during a transmission stop period, and electric charges stored in the battery charger are discharged through a constant current circuit to the transmitter during the transmission period in which the large current is required.
