Abstract:
A small-sized vehicle having a power unit that can be easily kick-started, in which a kick force transmission mechanism can be lubricated with oil, in which friction loss is reduced, and that has enhanced durability. In the power unit of the small-sized vehicle, power of a driven pulley shaft (80) driven by a crankshaft (40) of an internal combustion engine (30) via a belt-type stepless transmission (70) is transmitted to an output shaft (25) via an intermediate shaft (101) and then transmitted to a rear wheel via a power transmission mechanism. The output shaft (25) is placed behind the driven pulley shaft (80), intermediate shaft (101) is placed above the output shaft (25) and the driven pulley shaft (80), and a kick shaft (123) of a start-up kick arm (122) is placed below the driven pulley shaft (80), parallel to the crankshaft (40). The kick force transmission mechanism (120) for transmitting power of the kick shaft (123) to the crankshaft (40) is placed on the side opposite, in the vehicle lateral direction, to the belt-type stepless transmission (70).
