Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission in which composition of two driving forces can be compatible with the continuously variable transmitting function. SOLUTION: In a continuously variable transmission allowing a driving rotating member 29 and a driven rotating member 30 rotatably supported on a transmission main shaft 21 to be in contact with a variable speed rotating member 39 rotatably supported on carriers 31, 32 to perform variable speed drive, the transmission main shaft 21 is driven by an engine E, and the carriers 31, 32 are driven by a motor M. When the motor M is stopped and the engine E is driven, its driving force is continuously variably transmitted to the driven rotating member 30, and when the engine E is stopped and the motor M is driven, its driving force is continuously variable transmitted to the driven rotating member 30. Further, when the engine E and the motor M are simultaneously driven, the resultant force of their driving forces is continuously variably transmitted and outputted to the driven rotating member 30. Thus, the composition of the driving forces of the engine E and the motor M, and continuously variable transmitting function between input and output can be achieved in the same time.
