Abstract:
To generate a delay signal from power up, and to start the detection of the delay signal and the calibration of a converter simultaneously by using a power up delay circuit in an analog/digital converter integrated circuit.
The calibration can also be started in response to a signal in a calibration input pin of the integrated circuit, and the duration of delay can be obtained from a reference or the duration of calibration operation (for example, by charging an external capacitor from according to the reference). Circuitry can be provided to automatically place the circuit in an operating mode upon power-up that keeps the integrated circuit in shutdown mode when it is not converting or calibrating.
