Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive power window drive unit mounted on a vehicle.SOLUTION: The power window drive unit has a drive circuit 80 which includes: a motor 10 that drives a window glass to raise or lower; a first down-drive switch 30 and a second down-drive switch 35 constituting a first switch group for forward-driving the motor 10; and a first up-drive switch 20 and a second up-drive switch 25 constituting a second switch group for reverse-driving the motor 10. A third down-drive switch 40 is connected to the first down-drive switch 30 in parallel therewith. When a large torque is required for forward-driving the motor 10, a third switch group including the third down-drive switch 40 and the second down-drive switch 35 is turned ON to drive the motor 10. The third switch group is constituted of switches each having an enough capacity for collector loss relevant to a stalling current on the motor 10.
