PURPOSE: To make the ascending and descending speeds of an windshield pane equal to each other with a simple structure at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: Brushes 38, 40 in a motor for a power window unit are arranged at positions which are shifted from the neutral point (Y-Y') of a field given by magnets 42, 44 by an angle θ. Accordingly, a difference in electromagnetic force is generated between the normal rotation and the reverse rotation of a rotor 46, and accordingly, rotational characteristics are set corresponding to loads during upward and downward opening and closing motions of a windshield pane, respectively. Accordingly, even though a difference in load is present between upward and downward opening and closing motions, the rotational speed of the motor (rotor 46) can be maintained to be constant, thereby it is possible to make the ascending and descending speeds of the windshield pane equal to each other.
