Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a vacuum tank being connected to a vacuum pump unit and operating a negative pressure booster to be manufactured at low cost by forming the shell of the vacuum tank using a partially fabricated item of the shell of the negative pressure booster.
CONSTITUTION: When the pump shaft 51 of a vacuum pump 6 is driven and rotated by an electric motor 5, the capacity of each of the pair of operating chambers 62, 63 defined by a pump chamber 47, a pump rotor 52 and a vane 54 increases or decreases and air sucked in through a suction port 57 is discharged into the atmosphere through an exhaust port 56. Therefore, the inside of a vacuum tank 8 connected to the vacuum pump 6 is decompressed, and since the shell 11' of the vacuum tank operating a negative pressure booster by means of that negative pressure is formed using a partially fabricated item of the shell of the negative pressure booster, the need for designing and manufacturing a special shell for the vacuum tank 8 is eliminated, resulting in great cost reduction.
