PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the sticking of dust in a distributing plate in the inner part of a pre-reduction furnace in a smelting reduction apparatus for iron ore.
CONSTITUTION: In the fluid bed type pre-reduction furnace 5, the distributing plate 8 is constituted of a metallic structural body by forming as flow passages 16 for passing cooling fluid into the inner part and penetrating many nozzle holes 15 in the vertical direction. The temps. of the lower surface of the distributing plate and the inner surfaces of the nozzle holes are lowered by allowing the cooling fluid to flow into the flow passages in the inner part of this metallic structural body to prevent the sticking of the dust in the reducing gas. Further, at least two gas spouting pipes are arranged so as to be horizontally shiftable at the lower part of the distributing plate and the stuckdust can be removed by suitably spouting gas from the gas spouting pipes.
