Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advance/backing steering device capable of suppressing reduction of backing efficiency and capable of being made compact.SOLUTION: An advance/backing steering device comprises: a nozzle 10 for jetting water to a rear side of a travel direction of a ship; a steering duct 20 which is connected to the nozzle 10 so as to revolve freely around an axial line of a revolving axis AX1, which makes water jetted from the nozzle 10 circulate inside thereof and discharge the water with switching between a rear opening part 20a and a lower opening part 20b; and louver wings 41, 42, 43, 44 having flat parts 41b, 42b, 43b, 44b which are arranged in parallel in the travel direction on the lower opening part 20b, and rectify so that the water discharged from the lower opening part 20b flows forward of the travel direction. Front sides in the travel direction of the respective flat parts 41b, 42b, 43b, 44b are downward inclined to the horizontal face so as to form an angle in a range of 20° to 28° with the horizontal face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
