Pre-crushed waste 8 stored at a first pit 50 is directly or indirectly supplied to a crusher 52 by a first crane 53. Waste 9 crushed by the crusher 52 is introduced to a dryer 61 when it contains much moisture and introduced to a second pit 51 when it contains little moisture by a route switching means 72. Moisture is removed from waste 9a containing much water by the dryer 61 and the waste 9a is delivered to the second pit 51. Thus, waste 7 containing moisture evenly is stored in the second pit 51. Thus, moisture quantity and size of waste supplied from the second pit 51 to the gasification smelting furnace 10 can be made even. Thus, combustion stability of the gasification smelting furnace 10 can be improved and property of the exhaustion gas generated from the gasification smelting furnace 10 can be enhanced.
