To provide a diagnostic method or a pre-trip of a temperature control unit and a transportation temperature control unit, requiring a short consumption time and welcomed by a user.
This diagnostic method for temperature control unit and a method for executing diagnostic inspection on the temperature control unit include monitoring of at least one function of the temperature control unit, memorizing of information on at least one monitored function, and determining whether the unit has a functional failure or not from the information on at least one monitored function. Several methods generally include setting of a flag in one of the first setting and the second setting, and when the unit does not have a functional failure, the flag is set in the first setting. When the unit has at least one functional failure, the flag is set in the second setting. When the flag is set in the first setting, the consumption time of the temperature control unit is shortened by providing a method including operability of the diagnostic inspection.
