Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-standby pump capable of shortening air lock operation state time.SOLUTION: A pre-standby pump includes a lifting pipe 5 for transferring water sucked by an impeller 10 to a delivery water tank 31, a flap valve 23 provided on an opening end of the lifting pipe 5, a return pipe 41 branched from the lifting pipe 5 and communicated with a suction water tank 30, an opening and closing valve 42 provided in the return pipe 41, and a control section 28 for controlling opening and closing action of the opening and closing valve 42. The control section 28 determines whether the pre-standby pump is in an air and water mixed operation state or in an air lock operation state based on a water level in the suction water tank 30 and a pressure or a flow rate in the lifting pipe 5. The control section 28 opens the opening and closing valve 42 when it is determined that the pre-standby pump is in the air lock operation state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
