Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precious metal composite plate with a precious metal insetted way deep upto the end part and not exposed from the end face.
SOLUTION: A gold card 20 as a precious metal composite plate is composed of a precious metal thin plate (gold foil) 11 and protecting coats 12, 12 contact- bonded on both faces of the gold foil 11. The protecting coats 12, 12 are of a two-tier structure as organic coats. The end part of the gold card 20 is not exposed to the outside by wrapping the end part of the gold foil 11 with the inner layers 12b. In addition, the gold card 20 has the gold foil 11 insetted way deep upto an area near the end face, so that the gold card 20 appears presentable and shows an increasing decorative worth. Further, the gold foil 11 is not exposed from the end part of the gold card 20, so that the weight of a precious metal is prevented from changing due to the rubbing of the gold foil 11 while the gold card 20 is handled or the protecting coats 12, 12 are prevented from being peeled.
