To provide a method for recovering a precious metal, which can recover the precious metal such as silver, gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium and ruthenium rapidly in a high yield, when producing copper, and immediately and effectively utilize the recovered metal, and to provide a method for producing the copper.
The method for recovering the precious metal comprises the steps of: reacting either a crude copper powder or a primary residue containing copper with a copper solution in which a crude copper powder has been dissolved to solidify a soluble precious metal; filtrating the primary residue including the precious metal; subsequently preparing a leaching solution by making the primary residue leached in a waste copper electrolytic solution; adding the crude copper powder to the leaching solution; filtrating a second residue containing an increased concentration of the precious metal; and recovering the precious metal from the second residue.
