Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide precious metal recovery method and recovery system capable of recovering precious metal from MEA by simple device configuration.SOLUTION: A method of recovering precious metal from the membrane electrode assembly of a fuel cell includes a dissolution step for immersing the membrane electrode assembly into process liquid containing chloride ions, and dissolving the precious metal, as a complex, into the process liquid, a precipitation step for precipitating the precious metal, dissolved into the process liquid, as metal powder, by using a sacrificial agent and a photocatalyst, and a recovery step for recovering the metal powder by performing solid-liquid separation of the process liquid, containing the metal powder and sacrificial agent, to the metal powder and a liquid phase where the metal powder is removed.
