Title:
PRECIPITATED SAND SLUDGE SCRAPING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58207910
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To scrape off the sludge over the total width of a basin at once with reduced energy to attain a low water content, by connecting a screw to the lower part of an elevator downwardly suspended from a running beam in a freely swingable manner to scoop up sand sludge scraped up by the screw.

CONSTITUTION: When a cylinder 30 is driven to swing a swinging frame 26 around a pin 25, screws 32, 33 supported by the horizontal frame 29 provided to the lower part of the swinging frame 26 are embedded into sand sludge in a sand precipitating basin 1 and fallen until the cylinders 36 of the screws are contacted with the surface of a densely compacted sand sludge layer. In this state, chains 7 are revolved, the screws 32, 33 are rotated along with lower chain wheels 34 and densely compacted sand sludge is scraped by the screw blades 37, 38 to scraped up to the central part of the horizontal frame 29 while the scraped-up sand sludge is scooped up by buckets 18 circulated by the chains 7. The screws 32, 33 scrape up the sludge while drawn and advanced by a running beam.
