Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dispersibility in a rubber mixture by providing CTAB- surface area and silanol group density in a specific range and high macro pore diameter distribution.
SOLUTION: A precipitated silica is 200-400m2/g of CTAB-surface area (ASTM D3765-92), 230-380ml/100g of DBP number (ASTM D2414) as powder, 180-250g/100g of DBP number as granule and 20-30ml of silanol density (V2-NaOH consumption) and has macro pore diameter distribution measured by Hg-porosimeter measurement (DIN 66163), typical in respective surface area range to pore diameter interval (indicating increasing property) and expressed by a following table.
