Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a linear lock facilitating manufacture and assembling, improving precision of a lock assembly, and attaining smooth and rapid lock operation.
CONSTITUTION: This lock comprises an upper housing element 124 having slots 132, a U-shaped lower housing element 116 having tabs 30 to be inserted through the slots 132, and an adjustment plate 134 having slots 136 to be aligned with the slots 132 for the purpose of insertion of the tabs 30. The upper housing element 124, the lower housing element 116 and the adjustment plate 134 are combined to house an assembly of a release lever-equipped sleeve 46, a rod 12 and springs 32, 34.
