Abstract:
To provide a precision feeder of a machine tool adapted to suppress variations in the distal end position of a tool supported on a spindle in order to improve processing accuracy.
In the precision feeder of the machine tool, a guide having a pair of V-shaped guide grooves is disposed in an upright column having a spindle for mounting the tool, and a Y table including a V-shaped projected sliding surface is freely liftably guided along a V-shaped recessed guide groove of the guide. A preload applying means is disposed on the Y table side to press a pair of V-shaped projected sliding surface lying on the right and left sides of the Y table against the side of the pair of V-shaped guide grooves lying on the right and left sides of the column.
