Abstract:
The present invention addresses the issue of providing: a precursor for an Nb3Sn superconductive wire material that is used in the internal tin process, promotes generation of Nb3Sn, and has a high critical current density; a production method therefor; and a production method for an Nb3Sn superconductive wire material using same. This precursor for an Nb3Sn superconductive wire material comprises: an Nb core comprising an Nb group containing at least niobium (Nb); an Sn core comprising an Sn group containing at least tin (Sn) and zinc (Zn); a first Cu base material having copper (Cu) as the main component thereof and also containing titanium (Ti); and a second Cu base material having Cu as the main component thereof. The first Cu base material has the Nb core embedded therein and the second Cu base material has the Sn core embedded therein.
