Abstract:
To provide a core material and the like that can be obtained as a two-dimensional shape at a time of creation while realizing easy three-dimensional expansion.SOLUTION: A precursor 1 for core material that is embedded in resin and serves as a core material that constitutes a fiber reinforced body includes: a base layer 11; and a fiber bundle 13 made by bundling continuous fibers. The fiber bundle 13 has a plurality of sewn regions 15A sewn to the base layer 11 and a non-sewn region 15B in which the fiber bundle 13 is sewn away from the base layer 11 without being sewn. The sewn region 15A is sewn in a plane so that the fiber bundles 13 are arranged in multiple rows with respect to the base layer 11. The non-sewn region 15B is composed of a plurality of aligned fiber bundles 13 and connects adjacent sewn regions 15A to each other. A method for manufacturing the core material includes a step of cutting off the base layer 13B constituting the non-sewn region 15B from the precursor 1 for the core material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
