Abstract:
To provide a prediction image generation device, a moving image decoding device, and a moving image encoding device, in which encoding efficiency does not decrease in prediction to improve image quality using gradient images even if it is not a specific pixel bit length.SOLUTION: In the moving image decoding device, a BIO (Bi-directional optical flow) unit of an inter-prediction image generation unit has a prediction image generation unit for generating a prediction image from two interpolation images by using a bidirectional gradient change process according to a gradient change. The prediction image generation unit generates a prediction image by right-shifting values of an interpolation image and a gradient prediction image according to a pixel bit length to derive a modified value so that arithmetic accuracy of calculation of the correlation parameter for each processing unit is suppressed to less than a prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
