Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make possible the useless time to be shortened, by controlling the releasing distance for the rolled material to the necessary minimum distance, by predictively starting the reverse run of the rolled material according to the primary location finish signal of the locating device, and by confirming propriety depending on the last finish signal.

CONSTITUTION: The rolled material 18, after being released at the point of time t1 at the specified rellasing speed Vk, stops at the minimum releasing distance lk at the point of time t2. On the other hand, at the same time as this releasing, the screw/side guides 10, 11, start at the point of time t1; and when the location controller 14 monitors the deviation from the aim position and detects that the rolled material 18 arrives at the aim position, the location controller 14 produces the predictive starting signal for the table rollers 3, 4, and gives it to the rolling mill and the table motor controller 7 at the point of time t3. And at the point of time t4 when the aim accuracy is obtained, the main starting command is given above stated controller 7, and also, the controller 7 checks the finish of the set signal; and if it is finished, the rolling work is continued.
