Abstract:

A predistorter that is capable of compensating an inter-modulation distortion component which is generated in a power amplifier even when carrier aggregation is employed is provided. In a predistorter (10) of the present invention, a linear transmission path (150) delays and transmits an input signal. Signal generation units (120a, 120b) generate individual carrier distortion signals for respective carriers included in an input signal so as to output an individual carrier distortion compensation signal. A sub signal generation unit (130) generates a carrier inter-modulation distortion signal from the input signal and the individual carrier distortion signal and outputs a carrier inter-modulation distortion compensation signal. A signal divider (160) divides the input signal among the linear transmission path (150), the plurality of signal generation units (120a, 120b), and the sub signal generation unit (130). A signal combiner (170) combines the individual carrier distortion compensation signal and the carrier inter-modulation distortion compensation signal to generate a distortion compensation signal and combines the input signal and the distortion compensation signal so as to generate an output signal and output the output signal to an amplifier (20). A control unit (140) controls the plurality of signal generation units (120a, 120b) and the sub signal generation unit (130).
