Abstract:
To suppress the intrusion of foreign matters into a cavity.SOLUTION: Provided is a preheater of a casting machine mold where a nozzle 5 for feeding hot wind generated by a hot wind generator is inserted from the side of a cavity 2 into a weir 3, and a sprue liner 4 is preheated, comprising: a nozzle 5; and a metallic filter 6 covering a gap of the opening on the side of the cavity 2 in the weir 3 and collecting foreign matters, and the metallic filter 6 is connected to the nozzle 5, and further heatable by thermal conduction from the nozzle 5. Thus, in the metallic filter, foreign matters raised with the hot wind are collected, and also, the foreign matters collected by the heating by thermal conduction for a nozzle tip are melted to peel the foreign matters from the filter face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
