Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform calcination of a powdery raw material continuously by installing plural cyclones for constituting a part of a suspension preheater in parallel and using the cyclones while exchanging alternately by means of valves.
CONSTITUTION: A powder raw material such as lime stone is preheated by conducting combustion gas from a calcination furnace 3 to a suspension preheater 1 constructed from plural cyclones C0-C4 in multiple stages. In this case, plural numbers of cyclones C21, C22 for constituting a part of the suspension preheater 1 are installed in parallel and used by switching valves V11-V52. Thus, the calcination operation of the powdery raw material is performed continuously.
