PURPOSE: To uniformize the temp. in the whole parts by generating heated gas near the inlet hole of a sprue lining with a burner, fitting a sucking venturi in the hole in the extending part of the sprue lining and circulating the heated gas.

CONSTITUTION: The sprue lining for tundish is constituted of a bottom part lining 2 and the outside lining 3. The sucking venturi 6 is fitted to the outlet end part of the outside lining 3. The heated air 5 existing in the lower part of the tundish is sucked by blowing the compressed air 7 into the venturi 6. The heated air 5 flows from the hole 9 of the sleeve 8 into the linings 2, 3. The whole body of the tip part of a stopper rod 4, the sprue hole at the inlet of the bottom lining 2 and the linings 2, 3 can be heated. The venturi 6 is not worn and further, fitting and use are easy.
