Abstract:
To provide a preheating method for a weir and a sprue liner in a casting device attaining the reduction of a preheating time.SOLUTION: There is provided a preheating method for a weir and a liner in a casting device 100 provided with: a weir 11c; a sprue liner 21 connected to the weir 11c; and a molten metal holding furnace 22 connected to the sprue liner 21 and capable of controlling pressurization to a molten metal M1. The sprue liner 21 stretches to the inside of the molten metal M1 in the molten metal holding furnace 22. The preheating method has a step in which the molten metal M1 is pressurized so that a liquid level M1a of the molten metal M1 moves from the sprue liner 21 in the molten metal holding furnace 22 to the weir 11c, the molten metal M1 is continuously pressurized for a prescribed time in which the molten metal M1 in the weir 11c retains a molten state, and the pressure to the molten metal M1 is reduced so that the liquid level M1a of the molten metal M1 moves from the weir 11c to the sprue liner 21 in the molten metal holding furnace 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
