Abstract:

To make self ignition timing proper by a simple structure in a premixed compressed self ignition engine sucking fuel and gas containing oxygen for combustion within a cylinder, performing compressed self ignition for premixed gas and burning premixed gas within the cylinder and maintaining rotation of a crankshaft.

A structure in which timing of compressed self ignition in an engine operation cycle can be detected, premixed gas and a ratio of specific heat are different and control gas 21 non-reactive within a cylinder 3 can be supplied within the cylinder 3 is made. Based on timing of detected compressed self ignition, supply amount of control gas 21 to be supplied within the cylinder 3 is controlled and timing of compressed self ignition is controlled.
