Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably delay timing when air-fuel mixture formed in an outer peripheral side space of a combustion engine is subjected to compression ignition, to attain suppression of combustion noise and securement of combustion stability.SOLUTION: A premixing compression ignition type engine system is configured to execute: compression stroke middle injection 203 of injecting, into a fuel injection valve 37, fuel for forming air-fuel mixture in an outer peripheral side space of a combustion chamber 73; compression top dead center injection 205 of injecting, into the fuel injection valve 37, fuel for forming air-fuel mixture in a central space of the combustion chamber 73 after the compression stroke middle injection 203; and water injection 207 of injecting water into a water injection valve 47 with respect to the outer peripheral side space of the combustion chamber 73 after start of the compression stroke middle injection 203 and until start of the compression top dead center injection 205.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
