Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a compound useful for tetracyanophthalocyanines and phthalocyanines as colored pigments simply and economically by reacting a specified compound with an alkali metal cyan compound.
CONSTITUTION: The 1,2,3-tricyanobenzene is obtained by reacting a compound of the formula, (in which R1-R3 are each F or CN; at least one F and one CN) are present, (preferably 2,6-difluorobenzonitrile), with an alkali metal cyanide, (preferably sodium cyanide and potassium cyanides, in an aprotic dipole solvent preferably at a temp. of 0-30°C.
