NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I (R1 to R3 are H, 1-18C alkyl, 5-8C cycloalkyl, 5-14C aryl or halogen; R4 is H, 1-12C alkyl, 5-12C aryl, hydroxy 1-6C alkyl, chloro 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy 1-6C alkyl, 5-12C aryloxy 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C acyloxy 1-6C alkyl).
EXAMPLE: A compound of formula II.
USE: Unsaturated polyester resins and acrylic resins.
PROCESS: A compound of formula I is obtained by allowing an alkoxylane represented by formula of Si(OR5)4 (R5 is 1-4C alkyl) to react with an alkanolamine of formula III at 80 to 160°C in the presence of an alkalin and/or alkalin earth alcholate.
