PURPOSE: To obtain an alcoholic drink having combined taste of "ume" liquor and flavor of Fomes Japonicus, by mixing liquid obtained by extracting a bracket fungus of the genus Fomes with an aqueous solution contaning alcohol and sugar or by boiling the fungus in water, with the stock liquid of "ume" liquor.
CONSTITUTION: A fungus of the genus Fomes is immersed in a mixture of alcohol, sugar, and water for 3 months to 1 year at room temperature, and taken out from the mixture to obtain an alcohol extract of Fomes japonicus containing 15W40% of extract and 25W60% of alcohol. Or the fungus is decocted in water to obtain the soup of the fungus. The alcoholic liquor and/or the soup is added to the stock liquid of "ume" liquor (prepared by immersing "ume" or Japanese plum in unrefined sake). The amount of the alcoholic liquor and/or the soup is pref. 2W50%. After leaving the mixture at room temperature for 3W20 days, it is filtered to obtain the objective product.
