Abstract:
To improve the seedling establishment of an artificial seed by preparing an EU having a compact size suitable for encapsulation and promoting the growth of root from the capsule.
An adventitious embryo is cultured in a medium containing auxin and encapsulated to form an artificial seed. The seed is prepared by controlling the growth of sprout and root using the sugar concentration or the inorganic salt concentration of the culture medium for the adventitious embryo as an index. An adventitious embryo is precultured in a medium having low sugar concentration to effect the sprouting and rooting of the embryo and the precultured embryo is encapsulated to obtain the objective artificial seed.
