PURPOSE: To prepare a fabricated sintered cam shaft in the further reduced number of processes, in connecting assembling parts such as a cam comprising a sintered member to a hollow shaft with an oil supply orifice by liquid phase sintering, by molding the aforementioned parts into two split half bodies each having an oil supply orifice.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a powder comprising a part preparing sintered alloy is formed into a predetermined cam shape by compression molding but, at this time, parts 3 are formed of two split half bodies 3a, 3b and a semi-cylindrical oil supply orifice 5 is formed to the end surface of the single side of each half body. An oil supply orifice is preliminarily formed to a hollow shaft 2 at a predetermined position corresponding to the oil supply orifices of the parts. In the next step, the liquid phase sintering is performed so that the orifices 5 of the half bodies 3a, 3b are coincided in a closely contacted state so as to form a cylindrical shape and the integrated parts 3 are inserted into the predetermined position of the shaft 2 to align the orifices 5 to the oil supply orifice of the shaft 2. Thereafter, the liquid phase sintering is again performed to integrally connect the parts 3 and the shaft 2.
