PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosetting fiber-reinforced resin sheet colored into a stripe-like pattern by a simple method.
CONSTITUTION: Four colored curable unsaturated polyester resin paste are each transferred into paste-feeding containers 91 provided with a slit 912 and divided into four. These four colored pastes are fed in a curtain-like shape on impregnation rolls 90 from the slit 912. On the other hand, a cut fiber of a glass roving is made fall from the gap of the impregnation rolls 90, between which the cut fiber and the curtain-like shaped pastes are impregnated and mixed. This compd. is made fall on a supporting film and is piled into a sheet- like shape with a four colored stripe pattern. Another supporting film is laminated thereon and the laminate is pinched and transferred by means of a pair of endless belts. A sheet molding compound(SMC) colored into a four colored stripe-like pattern is prepd. thereby. A bath is molded by using this SMC and by means of hot press molding in an ordinary method. This bath is decorated into a flow stripe-like colored pattern and exhibits no surface defect and good quality.
