Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer having improved hardness, heat resistance, solvent resistance, transparency, etc., by polymerizing a triallylic ester of trimellitic acid solely or copolymerizing the allylic ester with another copolymerizable unsaturated compound.
CONSTITUTION: Triallylic ester of trimellitic acid obtained by reacting trimellitic acid or a anhydride thereof with allyl alcohol or an allyl halide is solely polymerized or copolymerized with another unsaturated compound, e.g. styrene, copolymerizable therewith.
