Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a skin detergent, having a moderate viscosity and excellent in stability without any stickiness of the skin during washing and dryness of the skin after drying.
CONSTITUTION: A skin detergent is obtained by blending (A) one or more anionic surfactants, especially alkyloylalkyltaurine salts with (B) one or more selected from amphoteric surfactants and semipolar surfactants used as usual cosmetic bases and (C) one or more higher fatty acids expressed by the formula R1COOH (R1 is 7-25C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having straight-chain or branched chain or OH) as essential ingredients at 0.002-1, preferably 0.05-0.5 weight ratio of the ingredients [(C)/(A+B)]. The amounts of the blended ingredients in the whole skin detergent are 5-50wt.%, preferably 8-30wt.% total amount of the ingredients (A) and (B) and 0.1-5wt.% ingredient (C). The resultant skin detergent has the aforementioned effects. Furthermore, if an unsaturated fatty acid such as oleic acid is used as the ingredient (C), stability, especially the stability at low temperatures is remarkably improved. Thereby, the detergent can also be used in cold districts.
