Abstract:

To increase production efficiency by treating a base by such a method of removing lubricants from only the one flank of this base.

All of the lubricants which impart a friction coefft. below 0.5 to both flanks of the base are removed from only the one flank of the base. The one flank of the base is subjected to a glow discharge treatment by such a method for exposing only the one flank of the base to the treatment for the time and at the energy level sufficient for removing substantially all the lubricants from the one flank of the base. Namely, the base, then the element having coating films are prepd. by removing the undesirable or excess lubricants from the one flank thereof by the glow discharge treatment. The surface of the polymer film base is coated with the desired layers and the coated element base in large-sized rolls is annealed and after the arbitrarily moved lubricants are removed from the flank of the base, a coating is applied thereon. Namely, the polymer film having the lubricants on both flank is prepd. and annealed to remove the lubricants from the one flank alone and a radiation layer, etc., are applied thereon.
