Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for preparing fluorinated ethanic organic compounds having fluorine atoms at the all of two carbon atoms in the molecule are formula at a high yield.
CONSTITUTION: In a process for preparing a fluorinated ethanic compound, ethylene or a halogenated ethylenic compound is made to react with uranium hexafluoride at a temperature of 80°C to 400°C in 1-1.2 molar ratio of the ethylene or the halogenated ethylenic compound to one mole of the uranium hexafluoride.
