Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fresh milk preservable without causing coagulation, putrefaction, precipitation, etc., and suitable as feed, by adding a solution of acetic acid and sodium bicarbonate, etc., to fresh milk.

CONSTITUTION: (A) A solution of food vinegar or acetic acid is added with one or both of (B) sodium bicarbonate and (C) sodium hydroxide. The sum of the components B and C is 0.2W0.9pt.wt. (0.6W0.9 in the case of single use of the component B or 0.2W0.53 in the case of single use of the component C) per 1pt.wt. of acetic acid. The mixture is added in an amount of preferably ≥0.1pt.vol. to 1pt.vol. of just milked fresh milk such as cow's milk or goat milk to obtain the objective fresh milk.
