Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare the title resin having improved adsorptivity, by reacting cyanuric chloride, thiocarbohydrazide and an aminosulfonic acid (salt) in a polar aprotic solvent, and gelling the reaction product.

CONSTITUTION: 1 Mole of cyanuric chloride is made to react with 1W3 moles of thiocarbohydrazide, and an aminosulfonic acid (salt) such as sulfanylic acid, its sodium salt, etc., in a polar aprotic solvent having a dielectric constant of ≥30, e.g. N,N-dimethylformamide. The reaction product is gelled by mixing with saturated hydrocarbons having a boiling point of ≥80°C, e.g. kerosine, gas oil, etc. and adding a compound having two or more isocyanate groups in a molecule, to obtain the objective granular resin.
