Abstract:
PURPOSE: To process an unpolished rice with chaff just before the germination as a raw material into an unpolished rice, utilizable for sick persons, old men, infants, etc. for emergency rations in earthquakes, or emergencies, e.g. damage from storms and floods, etc., and preservable for a long term.
CONSTITUTION: An unpolished rice with chaff just before the germination is dipped in water for about 24W72hr, drained for about 12W24hr and roasted at 100W140°C for 15W20min in a roasting vessel to adjust the moisture content after the roasting to about 13W18%. The resultant roasted unpolished rice with the chaff is then steamed and rolled with a roll, and the chaff is then removed therefrom.
